Duhatschek: Need more games like the Penguins and Capitals Monday night

The Washington Capitals had their nine game win streak snapped Monday night in what was one of the wilder games of the season, losing 8-7 in overtime to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Eric Duhatschek of The Globe and Mail joins Matt Rose and Kelly Kirch to talk about the crazy game that Eric happened to stumble upon. He thinks the league needs more high-scoring games like that, even though coaches and goaltenders probably would disagree. They also discuss Shane Doan of the Arizona Coyotes as he discussed waiving his no-trade clause in his contract with the media and Colorado Avalanche forward Jarome Iginla who is in a similar position to Doan.

Strudwick: Can't stand the Leafs but they're fun to watch

Former NHLer and current host of Dinner Television in Edmonton, Jason Strudwick, joins Matt Rose on Hockey Central @ Noon and he is part of the latter group as someone who played against the Maple Leafs. He also can't deny that the young kids on the Leafs are fun to watch. The guys also talk about the Edmonton Oilers who won thanks to Eric Gryba's first goal since February 2nd on Thursday and Artemi Panarin who signed a 2-year $12 million dollar extension with the Blackhawks earlier in the week. They also look ahead to the surprisingly huge game Saturday between the Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets.
